DEJUS CENTER is an organization committed to develop and expand the economic, political and social power of immigrants working on low wages jobs and their families. Serving the community more vulnerable, residents of Long Island and Queens, through a combination of direct advisory services, community education, civic participation and organization.
DEJUS CENTER is a place for Latinos and Latino immigrant workers to inform, educate and reflect on our civil rights and labor organizing, finding solutions, and mobilize to achieve socio-economic justice
Through counseling, information and education on civil rights, labor and civic participation, we promote leadership and involvement in all matters affecting the interests of migrant workers and their families.
Our project is to defend fundamental rights and empower the more vulnerable social base.
We approach newcomer immigrants through concrete projects:
1. Advising and counseling services
2. Education and outreach
3. Civic participation.
